FALLS TOWNSHIP SNOW EMERGENCY

Based on the current forecasts, Falls Township has declared a snow emergency for a 24 hour period in an effort to assist our road crew in clearing our streets for all residents and emergency responders. By Thursday the temperatures are expected to rise and will help with melting. Please help by moving all vehicles off the street for this period of time.

FALLS TOWNSHIP HAS DECLARED A SNOW EMERGENCY, STARTING AT 06:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, 2/20/19, EXPIRING AT 06:00 AM ON THURSDAY, 2/21/19. THIS DECLARATION REQUIRES ALL RESIDENTS TO MOVE ALL VEHICLES, BOATS, TRAILERS, ETC... OFF THE STREET AND IN TO YOUR DRIVEWAY. WE ASK THAT YOU LIMIT YOUR TRAVEL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. ANY VEHICLES LEFT ON THE STREET MAY BE TICKETED AND/OR TOWED.

THIS STORM MAY BRING DOWN WIRES AND TREES CAUSING POWER OUTAGES. IF YOU HAVE A GENERATOR, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS ACCESSIBLE AND READY FOR USE. NEVER USE A GENERATOR INSIDE YOUR HOME.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, northern and northwest New Jersey and southeast PA.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.
